I come from a lineage of resilient, strong, powerful women who endured more than they ever wanted. As a first-generation Vietnamese American, I’ve learned to balance both cultures, choosing what to carry forward and what to gently release. 

I became the first college graduate and later the first doctorate-holder in my immediate family. From a young age, I felt a deep urge to help others – especially in the Vietnamese community. My work as a geriatric physical therapist taught me that healing through human connection is more than clinical. It’s emotional and physical. Sometimes, the simple act of presence makes all the difference for those aging alone. 

I am also a proud mother to a mixed-race, bilingual son. His presence has taught me growth, vulnerability, healing and unconditional love. To protect his identity, I will refer to him as Alaric. 

This blog is my truth-telling space – a place to share my experiences and offer others validation, reflection and connection. You are not alone. I will write about my conscious motherhood, the emotional journey and how to heal through human connection. Here, I wish to explore the complexities of divorce, cultural stigma, generational trauma and the quiet weight of motherhood.
